New parent jitters Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor Might be feeling!!

    Written on 14 August 2018

Motherhood is a beautiful experience. It is one, that most women want to go through. It gives a new meaning to life, strengthens the bonding with the partner, fills the house with happiness, gurgles, laughter... yet comes with its own set of fears and anxieties. Bollywood actors & soon-to-be-parents Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor might also be going through a plethora of emotions and may have many doubts with regard to pregnancy. If you're also sailing in the same boat, read on....

First and foremost, keep in mind that nobody was ever trained to do anything. Being a parent is an experience and while you'll have all the books and suggestions for every stage, only you can tell what you're going through, and it could be completely different from what you've read or heard.

    The fears you may have:

    • How will I take care of my baby?
    • My life will never be the same again.
    • My body will never be the same again
    • I will not have any personal life.
    • My health will deteriorate.
    • Who will take care of my baby when I'm away?
    • If I leave my baby to the maid or grandparents, she will not bond with me.
    • What if I am not able to produce enough breast milk?
    • My husband will continue with his normal life and routine while I'll be bearing all the responsibilities and taking care of the baby.
    • What if my doctor is away?

There could be more problems you can think of and will be thinking of for a long time. But please understand that every problem has a solution and overthinking doesn't help at all. There will be plenty of people to help, including your doctor, spouse, your in-laws, your parents, housekeepers, and maids. Just enjoy your pregnancy at this time. While your body is going through various physical & hormonal changes, make the most of it & stop worrying!

To keep your anxiety at bay, this is what you should do:

    • Set a routine for yourself.
    • Make some 'Me-time'. Indulge in activities that you enjoy, even for a little while.
    • Meet friends and family who don't judge you for your looks or abilities.
    • You need to have a help number list ready, including an alternative for your own doctor.
    • Keep all baby supplies stocked and handy.
    • Observe your unborn baby's growth and be alert all the time.
    • Set a routine for a date night with your spouse.
    • Eat a healthy & nutritious diet
    • Plan your finances in advance
    • Go on a babymoon trip & have a great time

If you have a calm mind, you can handle everything. It is easier said than done, but you have to be able to do it and invite happiness in your life.
