Motherhood is a beautiful experience. It is one that most women want to go through. It gives a new meaning to life, strengthens the bonding with your partner, and fills the house with happiness, gurgles, and laughter, yet comes with its own set of fears and anxiety. Bollywood actors and soon-to-be-parents Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor might also be going through a plethora of emotions and may have many doubts about pregnancy. If you're also sailing in the same boat, read on.

First and foremost, keep in mind that nobody was ever trained to do anything, you learn it along the way. Being a parent is an experience, and while you'll have all the books and suggestions for every stage, only you can tell what you're going through, and it could be completely different from what you've read or heard.

    The fears you may have

    • How will I take care of my baby?
    • My life will never be the same again.
    • My body will never be the same again.
    • I will not have any personal life.
    • My health will deteriorate.
    • Who will take care of my baby when I'm away?
    • If I leave my baby to the maid or grandparents, he/she will not bond with me.
    • What if I am not able to produce enough breast milk?
    • My husband will continue with his normal life and routine while I'll be bearing all the responsibilities and taking care of the baby.
    • What if my doctor is away?

There could be more problems you can think of and will be thinking of for a long time. But please understand that every problem has a solution, and overthinking doesn't help at all. There will be plenty of people to help, including your doctor, spouse, your in-laws, your parents, housekeepers, and maids. Just enjoy your pregnancy at this time and don't let anxiety rob you of these precious moments. While your body is going through various physical & hormonal changes, make the most of it & stop worrying!

Tips to keep your anxiety at bay

    • Set a routine for yourself.
    • Make some 'Me-time'. Indulge in activities that you enjoy, even for a little while.
    • Meet friends and family who don't judge you for your looks or abilities.
    • You need to have a help number list ready, including an alternative for your doctor.
    • Keep all baby supplies stocked and handy.
    • Observe your unborn baby's growth and be alert all the time.
    • Set a routine for a date night with your spouse.
    • Eat a healthy & nutritious diet
    • Plan your finances in advance
    • Go on a babymoon trip & have a great time

If you have a calm mind, free of anxiety, you can handle everything. It is easier said than done, but you have to be able to do it and invite happiness into your life.
