Making the oil requires the usage of Australian tea tree leaves. Aboriginal Australians have used it for centuries as traditional medicine. Please tell me whether it includes acne. Examine how tea tree oil may relieve acne outbreaks and what safety concerns you should be aware of.

Is there any scientific evidence that tea tree oil may help acne breakouts?

Using tea tree oil for acne was found to have some support in a 2015 review of trusted sources of 35 research on supplementary therapies for acne. The evidence isn't stellar, though, according to academics.

The tea tree kit contains both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, according to 2006 research. Inflammatory acne lesions, such as pimples may benefit from this treatment.

Tea tree oil and resveratrol were combined in a 2016 research to see whether they may protect skin from the sun's damaging rays. Study participants had less oil and germs on their skin, as well as fewer pores, even though this was not the primary goal of the research project. Acne may benefit from this.

Participants in a 2017 study by Trusted Source were administered tea tree oil twice a day for 12 weeks to their faces. According to the study, tea tree oil can "substantially improve" mild to moderate acne with no harmful side effects. However, there were only 14 participants in this study, and no additional quality requirements for research were followed.

According to a report published in 2018:

  • A combination of aloe vera, propolis, and tea tree oil, according to a reputable source, may also help clear up acne.
  • Tea tree for acne may help clear up acne, but it's hardly a miracle worker, according to the study.

Using a tea tree facial kit and when to use the essential oil:

To ensure proper dilution and application, follow these guidelines.

  • Take 12 drops of carrier oil and mix with 1 or 2 drops of tea tree essential oil. While applying more oils to your face might be beneficial, you must be cautious. The use of any oil product may worsen acne.

  • Before applying diluted tea tree oil to your face, do a patch test on the inside of your elbow. Skin sensitivity or an allergic reaction is characterized by symptoms such as itching, swelling, redness, and burning.

  • Before using the oil, wash your skin with an acne-friendly cleanser and pat it dry.

  • Use a cotton ball or pad to dab a little quantity of diluted tea tree oil on your blemishes.

  • Allow to dry out. Apply your normal moisturizer afterward.

  • Repetition is essential, so do it in the morning and evening.

Why do you need this?

You'll need to take acne treatments daily to get the finest results. Tea tree oil is included in this.

Tea tree oil may be applied to the skin twice a day after doing a patch test and determining that it is safe for you.

Tea tree facial kit: what to look for when purchasing it

A tea tree skin purifying kit is readily available and accessible. It's available at most pharmacies and online. The personal care area of your local supermarket store may even have it.

Buy the finest tea tree oil you can find if you want to use it topically. Verify that your product contains just tea tree oil on the label.

Conclusion

Tea tree oil is beneficial in treating mild to severe acne outbreaks. Analgesic and antibiotic characteristics are responsible for this.

As an OTC acne treatment, tea tree oil is a viable alternative to benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, which may not be as effective for treating acne.

If over-the-counter (OTC) acne treatments don't work, you may require prescription acne drugs. Having a dermatologist help, you choose the best treatment is a good idea.
