  • I am still suffering from lower breast milk production. Thought diet will help me but it's not working it seems. Planning to start medicine prescribed by my gyneac. Just wanted to know what if that also doesn't work & baby is still on formula milk. I am worried coz my husband (doctor) said if she doesn't get breast milk there are chances to get an infection (infectious diseases) in rainy season. Mommies, pls share experiences. arrow

A: Have raw peanuts boiled one big bowl once daily. Also with food have drumstick leaves a week... Automatically milk production increases... Drink milk with bread twice a day.. Use ripe papaya, boiled rice, fenugreek, cumin seeds, barley, garlic, leafy vegetables, oatmeal, unripe papaya, apricots, milk, curd, paneer, ghee to increase milk production. Take shathavari powder with milk daily. Even after trying the above things milk is not coming means take lactare tablets. Milk starts coming as a fountain.. Now also I'm having drumstick leaves, chicken and ripe papaya weekly twice... I was not having milk for 5 days since baby was not latching, so sister made baby to latch and dropped FM on my nipple so baby feels like she is getting the milk from me and started sucking which produced milk in me..
