Hello, gum swelling in pregnancy is a common thing which leads to bleeding from gums. But you need to stop it to prevent gum infections. Plz do warm saline rinses atleast 3-4 times a day. Along with that massage your gums with a gumpaint - stolin or tan- x whichever available to you. Plz use soft bristles brush for brushing teeth and use it with light hand. Do not brush your teeth very hard.
Hi dear..This is known as pregnancy gingivitis or gum disease. Hormonal changes in pregnancy can cause a build up of plaque which can lead to inflammation and bleeding. You will need to be extra careful of your oral hygiene. You will need to brush atleast twice a day, you can also ask your dentist to show you the right brushing method to remove plaque. Try using a small headed toothbrush with small bristles. Don't use a mouthwash that contains alcohol. Floss atleast once a day to remove small bits of food that maybe stuck between your teeth. Rinsing your mouth with saline water will also help in reducing inflammation. If you have morning sickness you can also do it with plain water everytime you are sick which will prevent the acid in your vomit from damaging your teeth. Limit your sugar intake.
