Yes it is safe to eat amla to eat during pregnancy. It is high in fibre content and nutrients especially vitamin C, which makes it a very good antioxidant. There are a lot of benefits of eating amla during pregnancy like it helps in preventing constipation, enhances immunity, enhances digestion, helps in maintaining blood pressure, provides relief from fatigue and stress, due to its anti inflammatory properties it helps in controlling oedema. It is a good body detox and is also good in preventing gestational diabetes. It is said to promote oral health and boost the baby's memory. You can safely eat one to two pieces of amla in a day. Obviously overeating is not recommended as that can lead to indigestion, constipation or loose motion. On days that you are suffering from loose motion then avoid eating amla as its laxative properties may make the condition worse.
