Yes u can start now as by 5 months there r less chances they will get nipple confusion..yes it's always better to feed with spoon . As bottle cause for intake if gas though u r using anticolic .... But there is no problem in using bottle if used properly

Yes you can use a bottle but just make sure that the bottle is clean and sterilised. Also keep a few things in mind like test the flow. Just hold the bottle upside down, the milk should flow steadily but not pour out. Make yourself comfortable and cuddle your baby, holding him firmly. It is good for your baby to be on an incline so that any air bubbles rise to the top making burping easier. Sometimes breastfed babies find it hard to pace themselves with bottle feed and may end up drinking too much too quickly so you can try paced feeding which involves holding your baby upright and letting the baby rest every few minutes. Don't get worried if your baby doesn't finish the bottle, they know how much they want. Be careful not to feed your baby while he is asleep as it can result in choking. Also if your baby drinks from the bottle while laying flat milk can flow into the ear cavity and cause ear infections.
