Hi mommies, I'm a mother of 7 months 17 days old boy baby. My baby isn't crawling yet nor he hardly trying to sit this is putting me into anxiety. Is anyone suffering from repeated uti or urine infection after normal delivery... initially urine culture showed growth...now Culture growth is negative but pus cells present in urine and i hv chills.. inspite of taking antibiotics again and again, it is repeating and I m frustrated..



I am 26 weeks pregnant and having repeated UTI. This is the sixth time in a row since I had one infection or the other. I conceived in March and 2 months earlier in January I had lithotripsy done to remove kidney stone stuck in the ureter. Later a stent was put for two weeks and removed in first week of February. After conceiving in March .. I had problems of off and on spotting and was given progesterone medications, gonadotropin injections and had several ultrasounds. By God's grace the ultrasounds came normal. So no reason could be detected as such. Now from mid of month 4 or starting if month 5, I'm having repeated UTI.. this is the sixth time.. several urine cultures have been done. E. Coli was found twice and now I'm having fungal infection. I hve had so many antibiotic courses already. This time I'm getting vaginal suppositories and canditral 200 tabs for 3 days. During UTI, I get unbearable pain and burning for around 3-4 hours continuously before the symptoms settle a bit, blood in urine, burning in feet specially left foot sole, frequent urination, this time vaginal itching too and lower abdomen pain on left side. If I don't start medicines then the bout of pain starts every alternate day leaving one day in between of no pain. After starting antibiotic treatment I stay fine till I take medicines and once I finish the course I remain fine for another 5 days and then again on the sixth day I get uti symptoms. I am practicing all kind of hygiene practices, drinking 4lts of water daily, cranberry juice, barley water, coconut water. Anything and everything.. but this keeps happening. I don't know what to do.. Please help.
