    The first place where your little one will be sleeping and the most important piece of furniture is the baby wooden cot bed. The baby cot is the baby’s first real sleeping place after being in the belly for nine months. Therefore, it is essential that the sleeping place is a safe and comfortable place, where your baby can easily adjust to the outside world.

    A baby wooden cot bed can be used for approximately six months, until the baby becomes too big to sleep in there. It’s no secret that you need to buy alot of stuff for your little one. That is also why it may seem that your baby cot will be used as a sleeping space for about six months before there isn’t much space to sleep.

    Baby cot after six months

    As far as furniture goes, route for a wooden baby cot which makes it sturdy and durable. It can be reshaped into a bench which can later be used by your child. If a little brother or sister arrives, it can also be used again. Because of the wooden cot, it durable and can last for the future time.

    Why choose a baby cot?

    A wooden baby cot can be used from day one. It can be used for a longer period to get the baby a comfortable feeling and be used until when the child outgrows the cot. Then, they must switch over to a union bed.

    Moving from cot to a bed although there isn’t any age bar your child can move from a baby cot to a bed between the ages of 1.5 to 3.5 years of age. The reasons for doing so include:

    -Arrival of a new baby-Your little one has simply outgrown the cot

    -You child reaches a point when he or she is jumping or climbing out of the baby cot and needs to be switched over to a bed to avoid injury

    -You are starting with toilet training making the transition. A move from a cot to a bed can get difficult if they kept getting out of bed. Provide love and reassurance to take them back to bed. Give them hugs and kisses and tell them ‘goodnight’

    It may take a few nights of a regular routine and encouragement to help your child through the transition.
