FollowA: @P NIPT is a blood test so no risk for baby..but it also give a result which says low risk or high risk kind of answer...if it shows high risk the we need to do aminocentesis to confirm it again.. aminocentesis means taking aminotic fluid from mother's womb using a syrange, so it has 1 or 2 percent of abortion chance but it gives a yes or no answer...Please follow doctors suggestion ..doctor will suggest the corect test based on ur nt scan nd double marker test also based on ur family history

FollowA: Hi dear, i had trisomy risk @ 1:256..i was very scared nd stressed that time..then i opt for aminocentesis which give a yes or no answer..and the result was negative and delivered a healthy baby ..and this ratio is actually based on some calculation so need not worry.i read a lot of comments on trisomy risk and majority of them not faced any chromosomal issues..we can do NIPT or aminocentesis to confirm the chromosomal abnormalities
