0 followers. FollowA: @shifaliliza injection for lung maturity is given taking into consideration ur cervical length and bp and sugar levels... Normally given between 30-32 weeks if no factors show a chance of preterm delivery. The steroid injection is most effective from 2 days to almost about 2 weeks.... Also sugar levels in most cases fluctuate.... Not all cases but most cases so many docs will ask u to keep an eye on sugar levels too.... Speak to your doctor and individually take a call as to when to get the injection also it is false information the injection takes 3 weeks to works.... Once given within 6 hrs of first dose effect takes place... In 24-48 hours u can deliver ur babies after injection.... The injection is given at a gap of either 12 hours or 24 hours depending on ur case
