Safe Sleep Guidelines ![arrow]()
- Placing your baby to sleep on their back is the key to safety.
- Don’t let your baby sleep in a nest unsupervised
- Check your baby occasionally to ensure that he/she isn’t getting overheated or sleeping with the face turned into the padded sides.
- Never use a quilt/blanket to cover the baby in a sleeping bag as it can lead to overheating.
- Check your baby’s temperature by touching the tummy. If the tummy feels hot, unzip & take the baby out of the carry nest.
- Never let anything cover your baby’s face.
- Always place the carry nest/sleeping bag on a flat, firm surface.
- Never place the baby in an oversized sleeping bag to prevent your baby from slipping down.
- Zip and unzip the bag carefully without hurting your baby.
- Do not dress up your baby in too many layers in the summer, in order to avoid overheating.
