95 Week Old Baby: Your Baby's Development and Your Recovery This Week
Your baby is 95 weeks old (22 months). Compare an old photo, your baby is genuinely turning into a little kid this week. For you, around 23 months. Your body at year 2 is not what it was at year 0, and not what it was before pregnancy. Here is your week, tracked.
Week 95
Your baby is 22 months old
Baby says this week
I'll try to climb out my crib slowly when I am not drowsy. I think a lot and will ask you several questions before going to bed. Why do I have to eat these healthy snacks when you know that I hate them, Mummy? I relish my sugary treats and I enjoy going to shopping malls, parks, playhouses with my parents. I enjoy my playdates with slightly older children that you organize for me, Mummy. Sometimes I get frustrated because I am not getting the attention that you used to give me earlier.
Your Toddler's Development
2 min read
Compare an old photo, your baby is genuinely turning into a little kid this week.
At around 24 months, your toddler is starting to look more like a little kid, proportions shift, the jawline starts to show, the body lengthens out. They can scribble with intention, pour from one container to another (messily), turn taps on and off, and are properly interested in doing things for themselves.
Things that sometimes help- Teach self-care skills in tiny steps. Brushing hair: hand-over-hand first, then your hand on theirs, then watching. Same for brushing teeth, washing face, pulling on pants.
- Expect it to take five times longer than doing it yourself. Worth it long-term.
- Praise the trying, not the perfect.
- Weight gain in the second year averages around 2–3 kg, and height around 10–12 cm. Your pediatrician plots both at each visit. If your toddler has been steady on their own curve, leaner does not mean "not eating enough", it usually means they're just moving more.
- A toddler this age is very aware of how you talk about bodies. Try not to say "you're getting fat" or "look at that chubby belly", even in fun. Stick to what bodies can do ("your legs are so strong!") rather than how they look. Body habits start early.
- A fever that stays above 38.5°C for more than 48 hours, refusing all fluids, unusual drowsiness, or trouble breathing, call your pediatrician right away.
- Many Indian homes speak two or three languages. Your toddler may mix Hindi-English-regional words in one sentence, that is healthy code-switching, not confusion. Keep talking in whichever language feels natural; fluency in all of them comes with time.
Somewhere between the old photo and this morning, your baby became a little kid, and you were there for every millimetre of it. The 22 month old baby milestones, the pouring, the tap-turning, the fierce "I do it", all grew under your patient gaze. Take a new photo today; this version deserves remembering too.
Your Health & Lifestyle

Around 23 months. Your body at year 2 is not what it was at year 0, and not what it was before pregnancy. It's somewhere new.
The 23-month-postpartum body
Most physical recovery is done. What's still settling:
- Hair (mostly back to baseline, some thinner)
- Breasts (often a different shape, especially if breastfed)
- Tummy (softer, possibly some loose skin or stretch marks)
- Hips (often slightly wider, pregnancy permanently shifts pelvic bones for some)
- Energy (improving but not pre-baby levels)
Body acceptance, not body resignation
- The aesthetic standard often pushed at Indian mums (back to pre-pregnancy weight, no marks, "yummy mummy") is a market fiction. Real postpartum bodies look like postpartum bodies, and they have done remarkable work.
Things that help health, not look
- Daily walk
- Strength training 2–3x a week
- Real food at meals
- Sleep when you can
- Less mirror-checking, more body-listening
Indian-tradition tip
- A weekly oil massage. Cool yogurt or aloe on stretch marks. Multani mitti or besan ubtan once a week. These are gentle, traditional, kind to the body.
Eating well
- Three meals + two snacks. The Indian thali.
Worth flagging
- If you find yourself disconnected from your body, not feeling like it's yours, hating it, avoiding mirrors completely, that may be body dysmorphia or untreated PPD/anxiety. Talk to a therapist. Reconnecting with your body is part of recovery, not vanity.
This somewhere-new body has rocked, carried, fed, and healed, and it deserves to be spoken to kindly, especially by you. Gentle movement, real meals, and less mirror-checking are mother self care in its truest sense. You are not returning to an old self; you are meeting a stronger one.

- Air-Vent Valve, Less Gas.
- Slow-Flow, Latch-Like Nipple.
- BPA-Free, Steriliser-Safe.
The bottle that once meant midnight feeds now mostly carries water: a small sign of how far you have both travelled. Each outgrown routine is a chapter you wrote with patience. Turn the page proudly.

Twenty-two months in, your body skin care is no longer about fixing: it's about maintaining the soft, faded look you have earned. A cocoa-and-shea cream after the evening malish keeps the skin elastic through Indian climate swings. Quick and forgettable, the best kind of routine. Try Mylo Stretch Marks Cream that:
- Cocoa + Shea Cream.
- Maintains Long-Fade Care.
- Hydrates Dry Postpartum Skin.
Maintaining, not fixing: what a gentle place to have arrived at, twenty-two months in. Your evening malish is a two-minute conversation between you and the body that did all this. Keep it going; it is a friendship worth tending.
