62 Week Old Baby: Your Baby's Development and Your Recovery This Week
Your baby is 62 weeks old (15 months). You might notice the pace of growth has shifted, that's expected, not a problem. For you, around 14.5 months. Your toddler keeps you on your feet all day. Here is your week, tracked.
Week 62
Your baby is 15 months old
Baby says this week
I understand the meaning of “NO” and will use it often because everything depends on my mood. I can hit, bite and throw objects if anybody around me is scolding me or tries to stop me to complete my activity. I love to run around the house with food in my mouth but you don't let me do it even if I cry. I sometimes fake choking when I don't like the nutritious meal that you offer me. I love to imitate everybody at home like I want to get ready and go to the office like Daddy so I hold the car keys before he leaves.
Your Toddler's Development

You might notice the pace of growth has shifted, that's expected, not a problem.
After the first birthday, growth slows down compared to year one. Most toddlers gain around 2–3 kg in the second year and grow 10–12 cm in height. Head circumference growth slows too. The rapid baby-fat chubbiness starts melting a bit, especially once they're walking a lot.
Things to keep an eye on this week- Scribbling: once a crayon is in hand, walls, books and the floor all become canvases. Tape a big sheet of paper to the floor and hand over a fat washable crayon.
- Choking and swallowing hazards: adult medicine, vitamin bottles, button batteries (in remotes and small electronics), magnets, small coins, soil from houseplants. Toddlers find these faster than you'd believe.
- Tone of voice: your toddler can now read happy, angry or upset from the way you speak, not just the words. They copy the tone right back.
- Keep all medicines, adult and children's, in a high, latched cupboard. Never call medicine "candy". If your toddler swallows something they shouldn't, call Poison Control or head to the emergency room, don't wait to see what happens.
- Many Indian homes speak two or three languages. Your toddler may mix Hindi-English-regional words in one sentence, that is healthy code-switching, not confusion. Keep talking in whichever language feels natural; fluency in all of them comes with time.
It can feel strange to watch the baby softness slowly melt away, and it is okay to miss it a little. Every stage of baby development asks you to let go of one version of your child while falling in love with the next. You are allowed to feel both things at once.
Your Health & Lifestyle

Around 14.5 months. Your toddler keeps you on your feet all day. Energy management is the whole game now.
The Indian-mum energy economy
- Toddler care + household + work + relationships + your own basics, that's many balls. The economy works only if you don't keep depleting yourself.
Things that compound positively
- Real breakfast (not biscuit and chai)
- One outdoor walk a day, ideally morning
- Hydration steady through the day
- One meal eaten sitting down
- 30 minutes of "you" time, however small
Things that compound negatively
- Skipping meals to "save time". Sleep less than 6 hours for many nights running
- Constant phone scrolling between toddler tasks
- Saying yes to everyone else, no to yourself
Outsource what you can
Indian household cooking is intensive. Consider:
- A part-time cook for evenings
- A dabba service for weekday lunches
- Pre-prepared atta, ginger-garlic paste, soaked dal in batches
- A weekly maid for sweeping/swabbing if affordable
Indian-home reality
- If you have many family members helping, accept it without guilt. If you're managing solo, outsourcing what you can is a sustainable strategy, not a failure.
Eating well
- Three meals + two snacks. The thali rotation works.
Worth flagging
- Persistent exhaustion at 14 months is rarely just toddler-tired. Anaemia, thyroid imbalance, Vit D deficiency, B12 deficiency, untreated PPD, all common, all testable. A single full bloodwork panel at the gynae sorts most of them.
An Indian-tradition energy boost
- A simple morning routine, warm water with lemon and honey, a brisk 10-minute pranayama, soaking 5 almonds and 2 dates overnight to eat in the morning, these small habits compound. They were old wisdom for good reason.
Notice how much of your day goes into keeping everyone else running. Real mother self care is not a luxury added at the end of the list; it is the quiet fuel underneath everything you give. Guard those thirty minutes the way you guard your child's nap.
Recommended for Your Growing Journey

By week 62, with running, climbing and constant movement, your toddler sweats more: heat rashes in neck, underarm, groin folds are common. A talc-free hypoallergenic powder soothes sweat zones and prevents friction rashes. No talc, no fragrance. Try Mylo Baby Powder that:
- Talc-Free, Skin-Safe.
- Soothes Sweat & Friction.
- Hypoallergenic Daily Use.
All that running and climbing means your little one is thriving, and so much of that energy comes from the safe world you have built. Take a slow breath in the middle of the chase today; you have earned a pause too.
