Week 113
Your baby is 2 years 3 months old
Baby says this week
Mummy I am learning so much about relationships. I love to dominate you and my friends. I might grab, push and show various tantrums to get what I want. I also look adorable when you try to click my pictures, isn't it Mummy? I might pout, smile or simply keep my 1 hand on my waist so that you can click wonderful pictures of me. It totally depends on my mood when I want to get clicked or not. I love to dig the mud in the garden just like the gardener does it.
Your Toddler's Development

2 min read
Your toddler runs, turns, stops, and usually stays on their feet now.
At around 27 to 28 months, gross motor skills are really hitting their stride. Your toddler can take corners while running, stop before they crash into you (most of the time), and change direction on a signal. They might also be jumping off a low step with both feet, walking backwards a few paces, and kicking a ball with intent rather than a hopeful wiggle.
Things that sometimes help- Outdoor time every day you can manage it, a park, a quiet lane, even the courtyard. The open-space running is where balance and coordination build.
- A cheap plastic ball is one of the best toys at this age. Rolling, kicking, chasing. Keep it out.
- A low balance beam made from a sofa cushion or a rolled towel for wobble practice.
- Falls are part of learning. Mention to the pediatrician if: your toddler isn't walking steadily by now, can't squat and stand back up, or seems to be losing a skill they had a few weeks ago. Also mention if you notice one side of the body working differently from the other, always favouring one hand, dragging one leg.
Lots of parents panic about running in public, you are not alone. Hand-holding near traffic, every time, is the rule for years yet.
Worth flagging- Tantrums going past 25 minutes regularly, head-banging that breaks skin, or breath-holding spells, mention these at the next pediatrician visit.
- Indian weddings, festivals, and large gatherings can overwhelm a toddler, loud music, late nights, lots of laps, sweets everywhere. Plan a quiet corner, an early exit, and do not expect best behaviour. They are doing their best in a lot of stimulation.
Every corner turned at full speed and every last-second stop is toddler development you helped build, one park visit and one held hand at a time. Watching them fly across the grass, sure-footed and fearless, is your quiet reward.

Around 26.5 months. Your toddler is running, jumping, climbing, energy that is exhausting to keep up with.
What's happening for you
- The physical demands of chasing a 26-month-old are real. Your back, knees, hips and wrists are paying.
Things that often help
- Squat to lift, not bend
- Wear supportive footwear at home, avoid all-day chappals
- Stretch morning and evening
- Strengthen your core slowly (after diastasis check)
- Walk 30+ minutes daily, paradoxically, more movement reduces back pain
For mum's body at 26 months
- Pelvic floor still matters. Daily kegels. Pelvic floor PT if any leakage or heaviness.
Eating well
- Three meals + two snacks. Calcium daily for joints and bones.
Worth flagging
- Persistent lower back pain, sciatica, wrist pain (De Quervain's from baby-lifting), or a heavy/bulging feeling in the pelvis, see a physio or gynae. All treatable; ignored, they drag on for years.
Indian-tradition tip
- A weekly oil massage with warm sesame, mustard or coconut oil, shoulders, lower back, knees, done by yourself or family for 15 minutes is genuinely restorative. It's old wisdom, and it works.
Indian-context tip
- If your kitchen requires a lot of floor-level work (chopping, cleaning, washing), a small chowki or chair-level station saves your knees. Indian homes are slowly shifting to ergonomic kitchens for this reason.
Indian-mum reality
- The "perfect mum" pressure in Indian society is intense. Tune it out where you can. The right mum is the one who shows up calm, fed, rested and present. Not the one who looks perfect on Instagram.
Indian-mum self-care anchor
Three small daily anchors that compound over a year:
- A real breakfast within 1 hour of waking (not just chai-biscuit)
- A 30-minute walk most days, ideally early morning or evening
- 10 minutes of pranayama or quiet meditation before bed
These are free, traditional, and genuinely effective. Skip the wellness-trend stuff if it doesn't fit your life.
The stretches, the good footwear, the daily walk: caring for your hardworking body is mother self care with no glamour and great returns. You carry this family in the most physical sense; let your own frame be held up too, by habits that support you.
Picked for Your Journey

By week 113, your toddler drinks like a small adult: 210ml is the right size. Spill-free design holds up to running, throwing, tossing. Soft-tip is gentle on full teeth. Indian-summer hydration without the constant refill loop. Try Mylo Baby Sipper 210ml that:
- 210ml: Big-Toddler Size.
- Spill-Free, Toss-Proof.
- Soft-Tip, Teeth-Friendly.
Watching your little one drink deeply after a hard play session is one of those small, satisfying wins of the day. Fill your own glass while you are at it; mothers need topping up too, in every sense.

Week 113: late melasma patches still show up in humid Indian summers and after sun exposure. A turmeric + saffron + besan ubtan face wash brightens gradually with daily use. Pairs with traditional Indian haldi-based remedies. Morning and evening, cool water. Try Mylo Ubtan Face Wash that:
- Brightens Late Melasma.
- Turmeric + Saffron Blend.
- Sulphate-Free, Daily-Safe.
Skin that has weathered pregnancy, sleepless seasons and Indian summers deserves patience, not pressure. Care for it gently, at your own pace, and remember that your face has been your child's favourite view from the very beginning.
