बच्चे के दिमाग़ी विकास के लिए गहरी व चैन की नींद सोना बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है. नींद के दौरान, दिमाग सोच और याद रखने की क्षमता को संसाधित करता है. हालाँकि, बच्चे को रात में सुलाने के लिए काफ़ी वक्त लगता है. यहाँ नीचे कुछ टिप्स दिए गये हैं, जिनकी मदद से बच्चे को आरामदायक नींद सुलाने में मदद मिलती है.
- बच्चे के सोने की दिनचर्या को निर्धारित करें और उसे सही से फ़ॉलो करें: बच्चे को सुलाते वक्त, कुछ गतिविधियाँ अपनायें जैसे धीमी गति से मधुर संगीत बजाना, कहानियाँ सुनाना, मालिश, नहलाना, लोरी सुनाना, आदि. ये सब गतिविधियाँ बच्चे को गहरी नींद सुलाने में मदद करती हैं.
- मच्छरों से बचाव: नींद में आपके बच्चे को किसी तरह की कोई परेशानी ना हो, ऐसा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए बच्चे को सुलाते हुए उसके ऊपर मच्छरदानी ज़रूर लगायें. ऐसे में आप बाज़ार में मिलने वाले मच्छरदानी लगे हुए कॉटन बेड का भी इस्तेमाल कर सकती हैं. ऐसे में बच्चे को आरामदायक वातावरण के साथ रक्त-चूसने वाले कीड़ों से भी सुरक्षित रखा जा सकता है और इस आरामदायक स्थिति में आपका बच्चा लंबे वक्त तक सोता रहता है.
- अपने साथ सुलायें, लेकिन जगे रहें: बच्चे को सुलाने के लिए आरामदायक और शांत जगह का चयन करें. बच्चे को पूरी नींद आने का इंतज़ार न करें; जब आपको लगे की वह थका हुआ है और उसे हलकी हलकी नींद आने लगी है, तो उसे उसके बिस्तर पर पीठ के बल लिटा दें.
- बच्चे को रोने दें : बच्चे अक्सर सोने से पहले चिड़चिड़े हो जाते हैं और रोने भी लगते हैं जब तक उन्हें सोने के लिए एक आरामदायक पोजीशन न मिले. ऐसे में बेहतर यही है कि उन्हें कुछ देर के लिए रोने देना चाहिए. बच्चे से प्यार से बातें करें और उन्हें अपने आरामदायक व अपनी मर्ज़ी से सोने के लिए समय दें.
- पैसिफ़ायअर को पास रखें: बच्चों को पैसिफ़ायअर को चूसना बहुत पसंद होता है. दरअसल, इससे परेशान और उधम मचाने वाले बच्चों को शांत करवाने में मदद मिलती है. बच्चे को बेड पर लिटाते हुए, पैसिफ़ायअर उसके मुँह में डाल दें. एक अध्ययन के अनुसार, नींद के दौरान पैसिफ़ायअर चूसने से, बच्चों में होने वाली एसआईडीएस के ख़तरे को कम किया जा सकता है.
बच्चे के साथ धीरज से बनाकर रखें. कुछ दिनों के लिए ऊपर दिए गए चरणों का पालन करें; इससे बच्चे के सोने की रूटीन को फ़ॉलो करने में मदद मिलेगी और वह रातभर चैन की नींद सो पाएगा.
