Ayurveda recommends to include few things in diet corresponding to the month of pregnancy which adds to the healthier development of the fetus. 1. First month – A pregnant woman should have at least 2 glasses of milk every day throughout the pregnancy, but particularly in first-month milk should be consumed necessarily. If complaints like nausea, vomiting is present milk can be flavoured with Elaichi, Shatavari Kalpa, or milk masala containing almonds, cardamom, dry ginger, etc. 2. Second month – It is suggested to take milk medicated with sweet herbs like Shatavari, Bala, etc. Adding 2 tsp. of Shatavari Kalpa to a glass of milk will serve the purpose. 3. Third month – The third-month regimen explains adding honey and ghee to milk. One should keep in mind that honey should never be subjected to heat hence milk should be of room temp or Luke warm. Another fact is honey and ghee together should always be taken in unequal quantity. You can mix 2tsps of ghee + 1tsp of honey to a cup of lukewarm milk. 4. Fourth month – The fourth-month regimen recommends the intake of fresh unsalted butter with crystal sugar. 5. Fifth month – Fifth-month regimen suggests an increased intake of ghee alone or along with food. A minimum of 7-8 tsp. of ghee should be consumed. Where ever ghee is mentioned it means preferably cow’s ghee. 6. Sixth month – Ghee medicated with sweet herbs like Liquorice, Shatavari, should be taken the early morning at an empty stomach. 7. Seventh month – Sixth-month regimen should be continued in the seventh month. 8. Eighth month – Sweet gruel prepared in milk proves beneficial if eaten in this month. You can have gruel made of rice, sooji, wheat vermicelli, etc. Gruel should be taken once a day. 9. Ninth month – Anuvasan Basti with medicated oil should be administered in the last month. Agni deepana and Ama pachana Ama formation (toxins created when undigested food forms in the stomach) by the imbalance in Agni (the power of digestion) lead to many diseases. Therefore, the treatment of Ama must always include the treatment of Agni, including the use of digestive and carminative Ayurvedic formulations, eating meals at a proper time following an appropriate schedule. How Ayurveda Can Help In Conceiving When Everything Else May Fail?

With any fertility treatment, a failure is possible due to several reasons. Most couples are having a problem while conceiving a baby and seek various fertility treatments with hope. When things happen otherwise, and the treatment fails, they miserably suffer. What is IVF? IVF or In Vitro Fertilization is a fertility treatment where eggs are removed from the woman’s ovary and fertilized with retrieved sperms in a laboratory dish. The embryo is then transferred to the woman’s uterus. The treatment is said to have a success rate of 40 percent; which means that it can fail in 60 percent cases. Can it possibly fail?  Though the success of IVF depends on certain predominant factors like age and overall health, there are two common reasons behind the failure of IVF, and they are: 1. Implantation may fail due to surface lesions in the uterine cavity (due to scarring, polyps, or uterine fibroids) as well. Other reasons are poor ovarian response and pre-treatment stress.
